The Accountant - Movie Review

The Accountant is an overly intelligent action crime drama with a compelling and impressive performance from Ben Affleck. I am aware that this film does have some predictable and mediocre moments according to the action movie genre plus the story can be confusing and hard to pick up. However, I was REALLY enticed by it's accurate portrayal of autism and what autistic people go through. I believe that this film succeeded and I am even more proud to see a lot of parents who talk about how the film related to them/their children who suffer from this or have a similar disability or anything that makes them different in terms of social behaviour, considering that many people are using the term "autistic" as an insult nowadays. That is what made this film unique and was WELL directed and well written. Plus the characters were interestingly placed in the story. I genuinely wish that we had more films like this so that it shows doesn't matter what you're born with, it's what you do with it. Also I consider it okay to challenge the audience by containing some intelligent elements in them. This may not be for the average action movie goer but if your looking for puzzles to solve, numbers to crunch as well as action then this film is the one for you.
