Dale At Life - is the title of my American Indie film.
A 18 year old high school kid, Colin Dale's goal in life is to buy a convertible car and just be popular and succesful without putting any effort into it.
One day he is advised by his friend, Trash, to take the crime route and deal with drugs so he does to see what it's like and to see how cool it will be. But once he fails to make a delivery, he is told to raise a hundred grand or else he will be killed.
As the film progresses, Dale tries to raise money in the most irresponsible ways such as ripping off people in lemonade stands, selling pirated DVDs Trash makes, doing chores but very poorly.
When he is running out of options he decides to rob a bank but before he does, he gets a call from Trash saying the drug dealers have been arrested and he doesnt need to rob a bank anymore. Dale gets a message in the mail saying he won a hundred thousand from the lottery and then uses that to buy the convertible.
I expect alot of pans to the camera and tilts such as Magnolia by PT Anderson or The Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson. THe character is meant to be unlikeable but young and naive such as Greg from Me, Earl and The Dying Girl.
