3. What have you learned from your audience feedback for your film, poster and film magazine?
Feedback of Treatment
After, Jada Bravett revealed her concept of the idea, she wrote the treatment to explain the exact happenings of the film. The first treatment was submitted to our teacher, Krishna, whom we read to. His feedback was mainly: why are the characters doing these things for eg. why are Levi and Monty there? We took his feedback and consideration and later on we submitted him another draft but with improvements, this time.
As soon as we were happy with the treatment and we knew exactly what was going on, we decided to adapt and write the screenplay. The feedback of the screenplay was mainly the relationship between Levi and Monty being too formal and Krishna said it would be better if you actually showed their relationship as really close and not too serious. So we used the improvement of the two boys dialogue to further develop their relationship and show that they are close by giving them a 'banter' conversation mocking each other by using name calling, "wanker", "mommy's boy!" "thick fuck" and mockery of class and status, "oi waiter! can I get some cham-pag-nay...", at lease I work for a living!"
Overall, this feeback was really helpful as without it, we could have shot some unneccasary bits such as the girl scene where she catches the hitman. Althought that would look engaging and thrilling and create suspense, it would eat up our time and duration of our film. This feedback alsotaught us to enhance our film's storyling and characters to make it meaningful and have sense. For that we are thankful.
